Edexcel Level 2 BTEC Award

This qualification has been designed for those working in the Road Passenger Vehicle sector (taxis and private hire vehicle drivers).

The course explores a variety of issues which drivers are likely to face as part of their day-to-day work, such as transporting children, dealing with emergencies, health and safety at work, customer service and safe driving practice.

The course is made up of 7 units:

• Customer Service for Passenger Transport
• Passenger Transport and Equal Opportunities
• Passenger Transport and Disability Awareness
• Taxi and Private Hire Safety
• Carriage of Luggage and Parcels
• Route Planning
• Taxi and Private Hire Regaulations (UK)

About the course:

• A qualified tutor / assessor will support the Learner througout the duration of the course.
• The length of the course varies depending on the driver, but usually takes up to 6 months to complete.
• You are assessed by two multi-choice question papers, externally set by Edexcel and completed on-line at ATL (Yorkshire) Ltd. To gain your award, you will be required to pass both papers.
• To support the candidate during training, handouts will be provided specially wriiten for the BTEC award.
