Websquare enters the Dragons Den

Bradford web design team Websquare wins commission from James Caan, of Dragons Den

The Websquare Team

As Dragons’ Den viewers know only too well, few brave souls who climb the BBC programme’s intimidating staircase manage to persuade shrewd dragon James Caan to invest in their business venture.

So the achievement of Bradford and Keighley web design specialists Websquare, in winning a commission from him to build his personal website for mobile phone browsers, is all the greater.

What’s more, the dynamic founders of the business, Adam Raja and Tani Qamar, both of whom have degrees in computing didn’t need to go anywhere near that scary staircase!

“To be working with such a high profile client is a privilege for the team at Websquare and is a testimony to the high quality work we produce, says Tani.

“The challenge with a mobile website is the limited screen size and space, coupled with the speed on the Internet on mobile phones.”

Adam added:  “Competition is tough out there but our creativeness and quality of work enable us to stand out and win business on a national scale.   Our vision is to become a leading online solutions company.”

From humble beginnings in a small office in Keighley, Websquare now has a strong team with specialist skills in all aspects of online solutions.  In addition to James Caan they now work with businesses nationally, including renowned, London-based skin care specialist  Jo Robbins.

For additional business support Websquare’s management turned to Bradford Kickstart, the Council’s enterprise support programme, where    business counsellor Fiyaz Mamaniat, at Manningham-based ATL Enterprise,  provided  business growth advice.

Adds Tani:  “As a young business you are so busy managing the day-to-day operation that you don’t always have the time or the knowledge to identify what is needed to grow the business, nor do you know where to go for the support you need.

“ATL and Kickstart have provided helpful guidance and practical support, including help with marketing through their professional services scheme.”

Says Fiyaz:  “Websquare are building a strong brand and reputation. Their creativity and vision, coupled to their technical and programming skills, enables them to deliver outstanding results.”
